| At a young age I had a fascination with photography. Mainly black and white landscapes. That fascination started when I saw my first Ansel Adams print. The richness of the blacks and expansive tonal range in the print was amazing. After seeing his work I bought a few of his books which I later was fortunate to have him autograph. The more I looked at Adams' work the more I wanted my own camera so I decided to sell 2 of my autographed books and put that money toward my first camera. Thank you Ansel for helping me buy my first camera... and thank you dad for driving to Carmel to get Adams to sign my books! From then on I photographed all sorts of things from landscapes to fashion. Years later I decided to focus on architectural photography. My day-to-day work includes interiors and exteriors for Hospitality, Real Estate, Luxury Yachts, Museums, and Fine Art. In my time off I photograph landscapes, many of which you can view here. I also became interested in digital technology and worked at Apple Computer as Product Manager for a new photography-based technology called QuickTime VR. QuickTime VR later became what is now known as "360° virtual tours". I produce those as well but I have taken the technology to a higher level. I call mine "HD360". They play full screen in high definition. You can view some here on this website under the menu item, "HD360". I am based in Santa Barbara, CA and travel the world for my work. So if you are located in an exotic part of the world and would like me to come out to photograph your resort, estate, yacht, or a personal portrait of you, don't hesitate to contact me. I am always adding new photos here so check back often. Thank you very much for visiting this website. David |
