Cypress Trees

POINT LOBOS, CALIFORNIA

Seen from across the cove, the cypress seemed to disappear into the hillside.
Only after standing there for a while did the pale trunks begin to separate themselves from the dark mass of foliage.
Each trunk had its own character, yet they seemed to belong to one another, as though years of wind and salt had slowly woven them together.
